McCrea expresses shock at bus fire in Moneymore

DUP Mid Ulster MLA Cllr Ian McCrea has commended the bus driver and the emergency services for their timely and effective response following a bus fire in Moneymore this morning.

Speaking today Ian McCrea said:

"I want to commend the bus driver for his swift and decisive action which ensured the safety of school children this morning in Moneymore when he realized that the engine of the bus he was driving had caught fire.

I also want to pay tribute to the emergency services who were on the scene shortly after the fire was reported and brought this potentially life threatening fire under control.

Whilst I accept that this fire caused some disruption to traffic this morning, I am glad that no one was injured or properties damaged."
